Jess is a rainbow!

Jess is rocking a rainbow of colours, lined with green fading into pearly white. I'm posting for her, though, because she's being all amazing and saving lives tonight.

You guys really need to encourage her to post here more often. She has talent, she takes the pics, but she never posts! You guys have missed some great looks - so encourage her to keep 'em coming!

This MAC girl has it goin' ON

While HillaryGayle and I were in Dallas for the DMB concert (EPIC!), we stopped by a PRO store. This was an example of the creativity we witnessed there. They were fantastic and polite and just really incredible. Thanks, ladies!

Here's what my new flooring looks like!

Black walnut laminate > pink carpet. In my book, anyway. Hurry, floor guys! When y'all are done I can start moving in for real!

The Internet peeps come to install on Saturday from 1-5pm, so I'll be there waiting on them. We'll be getting home security & 20 Mbps Internet (with no bandwidth limits!) for less than we have our crappy service & our other crappy service now!

Well we've moved into ONE room...

Our patio furniture is now officially on the porch. :) I put my wind chimes up, too; Japanese tonal scale mezzo Music of the Spheres chimes. More expensive than most people would go for but I adore the sound of bells & they were a gift from Bryan. Floor is being laid & I just took all doors & hardware off the kitchen cabinets so Daddy can do his spray gun thing. Uncle A patched my floor near the back door & fixed the threshold at the front door. Daddy is building a wall around the staircase at the drop of a hat. Momma & Aunt G are flitting around & everywhere they go something magically gets accomplished.

House progress

Tile is out, kitchen rearranged. I disliked the way the kitchen felt closed off before, but I ADORE this new layout. It makes more of a kitchen/dining room than 2 separate rooms. The living room, kitchen, & dining room all flow together in a very open style. Tomorrow the carpet comes out, kitchen countertops go on, & kitchen is fully assembled. Goal is to have the ceilings & walls painted and floors ready & cleared so the floor people can hit the ground running on Monday with the flooring.
